Thanks for your comment on my blog. I’ve just taken a look at yours and I think we would have a lot to talk about. You should be aware that I was a member of I.S. and then the SWP for eighteen years before the disconnect between revolutionary theory and practice drove me to look elsewhere and in all that time I have not found a home in which I could be comfortable. I even re-joined the SWP pre the outbreak of war in Iraq, only to quickly discover that things had gone from bad to worse in that ‘organisation’. Having said that I hate sectarian politics which I feel is at the root of the British Left’s total failure to offer any alternative in the current situation.
